Hotel Overview: At Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, our approach to Human Resources begins with selecting the best candidates to join our global team of service professionals committed to turning moments into memories for our guests. As a member of our Housekeeping team your leadership and organizational support provided to the team will ensure our guest rooms are services to Fairmont Standard.


Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assistant Executive Housekeeper and Executive Housekeeper, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:


  • Consistently offer professional, engaging and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues

  • Ensure all House Person responsibilities and departmental standards are met

  • Maintain inventory in the Housekeeping closets; including pick-up and distribution of clean linen, restocking paper supplies and amenities as needed

  • Respond to guests” special requests for miscellaneous items ie: cribs, cots, extra towels etc. in a timely manner

  • Collect dirty linen, garbage and recyclables from Room Attendants” carts and closets

  • Follow departmental policies and procedures

  • Report necessary maintenance items

  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous Housekeeping experience is preferred

  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset

  • Must be in good physical condition

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

  • Highly responsible & reliable with excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team with minimum supervision

  • Must be flexible and able to work various shifts


Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift

  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs

  • Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting

  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
