Lifestyle Manager - FirstService Residential - La Quinta, CA


This position plays a vital role to maintain Trilogy La Quinta as a premier Active Adult community with quality lifestyle services. This role is a highly visible managerial position, which interacts with employees and residents on an ongoing basis; therefore requiring a high degree of public relations and customer service skills.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other responsibilities may be assigned.
* Responsible for managing all employment related actions; including training, for Activities, Café Solaz and Member Services staff.
* Conducts weekly staff meetings with each departmental group to ensure employee performance is meeting expectations for each position as well as to discuss and address associate concerns and provide ongoing training to staff
.* Works to assist associates to reach their full potential through associate growth initiatives.
* Approve payroll work hours for hourly associates in Activities, Café Solaz and Member Services departments
. * Perform associate performance discussions and evaluations (90 day, mid year, annual).
* Create, maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures for Activities, Café Solaz and Member Services departments.
* Develop a working knowledge of the CSI Point of Sale System in management of Café Solaz
.* Assist in creation of operating budget for Café Solaz, Activities and Member Services departments.
* Ensure Café Solaz, Activities and Member Services departments remain within operating budget and provide monthly variance repos to management.
* Attend Santa Rosa Club activities as necessary.
* Develop a working knowledge, and train staff, of Santa Rosa Club and Coral Mountain Club systems to include intrusion alarms, fire alarms, in-house music and audio-video.
* Ensure that Santa Rosa Club activities are conducted in a professional and high quality manner.
* Submit financial reporting on Santa Rosa Club on a monthly basis.
* Manages the Association’s business affairs with the California Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC)
.* Ensures that liquor and food ordering process, accounting and inventories are completed in an accurate and professional manner.
* Association’s Point of Contact with vendors that service the Santa Rosa Club and the Café Solaz.
* Assist Assistant Manager and Fitness supervisor in the enforcement of community rules as they pertain to usage of the Santa Rosa Club facilities.
* Staff representative to the Activities Committee.
* Attend Finance Committee meetings as requested.
* Staff representative to each of the Trilogy Interest Clubs. Ensure that clubs operate within prescribed guidelines. Assist with development of new Interest Clubs.
* Other duties as assigned.

* Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Hospitality Services or related degree, emphasizing customer service preferred.
* Prior work experience in a large scale homeowner association and professional credentials (CACM, CCMA) is desirable, as is relevant experience in either hospitality and/or Country Club industries.
* Supervisory experience or office management experience preferred.
* Knowledge of budgeting and finance.
* Ability to apply principles, practices and objectives of recreation, administration and management
. * Knowledge of building and grounds maintenance requirements.
*Ability to establish work standards, and evaluate personnel performance.
* Ability to prepare and supervise the keeping of a variety of records and reports.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
.* Working ability of general math skills.
* Ability to apply common sense and carry out instructions.
* Working knowledge of MS Office suite — including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
* Strong attention to details.
* Self motivated.* Organized and Detail Oriented.

Valid Driver’s License and proof of state mandated auto insurance.
