Program Manager - Sanctuary Palm Springs - Palm Springs, CA

We are seeking a Program Manager who will be responsible for the operation of a THP+FC. facility in Palm Springs CA for LGBT youth in foster care. The ideal candidate will have cultural competency with the LGBT population.
The Program Manager shall be present or readily available in the THP+FC during regular business hours (e.g. 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
Duties of the administrator shall include(1) Appointing, overseeing and dismissing staff.(2) Organizing and administering a program of staff development for all staff.(3) The administrator may also serve in another personnel capacity, provided he or she meets the applicable qualifications of both positions.
Additional duties include intake and evaluation, orientation, providing Independent Life Training to the residents, meeting weekly one-on-one with all residents.The Program manager will provide case management services for residents to reach their goal of independence, self­ sufficiency, housing permanence and connections with supportive adults in the community and overseeing the mentor program.
All THP+FC personnel shall complete a minimum of one-hour training in the area of child abuse identification and reporting.
All THP+FC personnel shall, at a minimum, receive training about the characteristics of persons 16 – 21 years of age, placed in long-term foster care pursuant to Welfare and Institutions Code Section 16522.1(c).
This position requires that the individual:
(A) Have a Master’s Degree in a behavioral science from an accredited graduate school, as defined in Section 94302 of the Education Code, or a graduate program approved by the California Private Post-Secondary and Vocational Education Bureau, plus at least one year of administrative experience or supervisory experience over social work, child care, or support staff providing direct services to children in an agency or in a community care facility with a licensed capacity of six or more.(B) Have a Master’s Degree in a behavioral science from an accredited college oruniversity, as defined in Section 94302 of the Education Code, plus two years ofemployment as a social worker, in an agency serving children or in a groupresidential program for children in an agency or in a community care facility with a licensed capacity of six or more. Or ….(C) Have a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as defined in Section 94302 of the Education Code, plus at least three years administrativeexperience or supervisory experience over social work, child care, or support staff providing direct services to children in an agency or in a community care facility with a licensed capacity of six or more.
