Job Description

Sun City Shadow Hills, a residential community for active adults, is seeking a full-time Concierge.

The Concierge greets residents and visitors to the community’s clubhouse inan enthusiastic and courteous manner. Enhances the experience and lifestyle ofresidents by providing exceptional customer service and guidance related to ourcommunity’s many events, activities, amenities, and programs.

Interacts with residents on a daily basis in person and via telephone and provides courteous, efficient service.

Provides residents with information related to lifestyle events, activities, amenities, and programs. Encourages resident participation in lifestyle events.

Welcomes guests and new residents to clubhouse. Gives tours and orientates new residents to clubhouse amenities and lifestyle events, activities, and programs.

Assists residents in making arrangements to participate in events and activities. Includes selling tickets to events.

Develops a high level of knowledge about the association and the larger community in order to answer questions about local shopping, restaurants, and community events.

Coordinates with other departments to ensure resident needs are met.

Keeps Supervisor and other department supervisors informed about resident preferences so that the association can continue to provide services and programs that meet resident needs.

Assists clubs and residents in making room reservations for events and activities. Monitors event schedules for conflicts.

Provides clerical support to the Lifestyle Director and co-workers, as required.

The preceding functions have been provided as examples of the types of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification. Management reserves the right to add, modify, change, or rescind the work of different assignment positions. Qualifications


Two years of prior customer service experience. Hospitality experience a plus.

Educational attainment equivalent to high school graduation.

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Effective written and verbal communication in English withmanagement, staff, residents, contractors and vendors.

Ability to communicate with enthusiasm and to establishrapport with residents.

Ability to organize and track a high volume of informationand transactions.

Ability to organize, prioritize and complete tasksindependently.

This position may require extended hours orovertime. Weekend work required.
