ESSENTIAL DUTIES: This position will supervise at least one staff member; oversee the City’s Short-Term Vacation Rental Program; Manage Community Development Block Grant funds and program; Prepare and process agreements and contracts from inception to full execution; Run reports off various systems, pull statistics, create metrics, analyze and interpret data; Write staff reports and present to City Council; and other duties as needed in support of the Design & Development Department. SALARY AND BENEFITS: $61,008.39 – $73,210.06 per year (DBM Rating B24). City benefit plan includes: Retirement: 2% at 62 formula for new CalPERS members and an employee pre-tax contribution of 6.25%; 2% at 60 formula for existing or “Classic” CalPERS members with an employee pre-tax contribution of 7%; Short & long-term disability; group health/dental/vision/life insurance (up to $1,370/month); 12 sick days per year; 10 vacation days first year; 12 holidays.


TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Associate’s Degree and, as assigned, two (2) years’ experience related to area of assignment; or an equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.


ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Positions in this class typically require: standing, walking, fingering, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Some assignments may be characterized as Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
