We are currently looking for the following professional:
SAFETY AND TRAINING ASSISTANT

$4835 – $6627 Monthly


DEFINITION: Under general supervision, the Safety and Training Assistant will support the ongoing development and maintenance of training a safety and health programs; makes inspections and recommends corrective actions of safety hazards; conducts safety training; investigates claims and accidents; prepares and maintains reports; and completes related duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma (or equivalent).


Two years of experience in accident investigation and claims reporting which included preparing interrogations, industrial engineering, safety engineering, occupational health and safety inspections, or loss prevention analysis. Related college level courses may be substituted for experience.


A minimum of 2 years of experience in professional safety/loss control.


An instructor”s certificate in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation issued by the California Heart Association, American Heart Association, or the American National Red Cross must be obtained within one year of the date of employment.


Workplace safety, risk management, or public safety college coursework or designation is desirable.


Ergonomic coursework or demonstrated knowledge of ergonomic work station design and body positioning of field and office personnel for the prevention of injuries is desirable.


Valid California Operators license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles. Department of Motor Vehicles driving record may influence employment or classification.
