As a golf ambassador you are responsible for delivering exceptional golf services and consistently striving to exceed the expectations of our guests and members.


Hotel Overview: Reigning from Bermuda’s highest point, over a majestic 100 acre estate, The Fairmont Southampton is located on the southern shore of Bermuda. Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Golf, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:


  • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service

  • Providing a memorable and engaging experience for all members and guests

  • Ensuring that the clubhouse, all work areas, the club storage area, and all equipment are organized, cleaned and maintained to a high standard, and all equipment is in good, safe working condition

  • Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Power Cart Fleet, and maintaining a tracking system including, usage, maintenance and proper rotation

  • Ensuring rental club sets are maintained, cleaned, and accounted for and that member clubs are retrieved, returned and cleaned appropriately

  • Ensuring Golf Corporate Surveys are provided to and completed by guests

  • Ensuring the arrival/departure area is staffed, kept cleaned, stocked to par levels

  • Ensuring the ramp is properly set-up and stocked during operating hours

  • Ensuring all group events/tournaments are staffed, set-up according to contract/BEO and executed

  • Following department policies, procedures and service standards as well as health and safety policies

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 years experience working in a hospitality/golf retail environment with specific experience in golf event management and tee time management

  • Golf ability is an asset

  • Valid driver’s licence

  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, teamwork, observation and problem solving skills

  • Must be alert, accountable, reliable and flexible

  • Able to work efficiently under pressure in a fast paced multi-cultural environment

  • Able to work cohesively with colleagues as part of a team

  • Able to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

  • Ability to work while unsupervised

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • Frequent standing, walking, pushing, pulling, stretching

  • Able to tolerate prolonged exposure to prevailing weather conditions

  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs

  • Occasional kneeling, ascending or descending stairs and ramps

As a member of our Housekeeping team your organizational support provided to the team will ensure our guest rooms are serviced to Fairmont Standard.


Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Head House Person & Floor Supervisors, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Consistently offer professional, engaging and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues

  • Treat each and every Guest as a unique individual

  • Anticipate Guests” needs with thoughtful and personal touches

  • Resolve Guest problems and never say “no” without offering an alternative

  • Be an ambassador for the Brand, Hotel, Community and Colleagues

  • Be guided by Fairmont core values; respect, integrity, teamwork and empowerment and accountability

  • Ensure housekeeping equipment is cleaned and maintained as needed

  • Maintain inventory in the Housekeeping closets

  • Assist Room Attendants with deep cleaning, vacuuming and other duties as required

  • Respond in a timely manner to guests” special requests for miscellaneous items (ie: cribs, cots, extra towels etc.)

  • Collect dirty linen, garbage and recyclables from Room Attendants” carts and closets and send to laundry department for cleaning

  • Ensure that proper recycling is carried out

  • Following outlined procedures when performing housekeeping duties

  • Responsible for maintaining vacuum cleaners for room attendants, emptying and replacing bags replacing belts and notifying the Head Houseman about machines needing more extensive maintenance/repair

  • Responsible for above skills and activities in daily work as a representative of the Executive Housekeeper

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Floor Supervisor, Head Houseman, assistant Housekeeper and Executive Housekeeper

Qualifications:


  • Previous housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel environment is an asset

  • Must possess a strong work ethic and be physically fit to ensure that work is completed efficiently in a demanding, fast paced environment

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Good knowledge of all facilities in the hotel and surrounding area

  • Ability to work well under pressure

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • Walking, standing, bending, pushing and pulling anywhere from 2 – 6 hours a day.

  • Does not lift weights exceeding 25 lbs.

  • Requires constant repetitive motion.

  • Skills and strengths in all forms of communications, particularly verbal and written.

  • Exercises a high degree of initiative, judgment, and discretion.

  • Analyses situations accurately and takes effective action.

  • Excellent customer service skills with patients, co-workers and guests.
