Flight Operations Administrative Assistant - Desert Jet - Palm Springs, CA

Desert Jet, an aviation company based in the greater Palm Springs area of Southern California, is accepting applications for a Flight Operations Administrative Assistant.

Duties include;

• Organizing and maintaining pilot records
  


• Maintaining documentation on each aircraft
  


• Maintaining company manuals and distribution of revisions
  


• Performing copying, scanning, faxing, emailing and other clerical activities such as general filing and data entry
  


• Scheduling meetings
  


• Creating and assisting in miscellaneous projects and presentations including training materials
  


• Opening, sorting, and distributing mail related to the flight department
  


• Maintaining an orderly and debris-free inventory stock room
  


• Writing manuals and processes
  


• Other duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot and Director of Operations
  

Successful candidates for the position will have the following qualifications and skills;

• Good organizational skills
  


• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
  


• Ability to complete tasks quickly
  


• Enjoy working independently
  


• Thrives on
  


• Discretion in handling confidential information
  


• Experience in aviation is preferred (pilot, dispatcher or aircraft maintenance experience a plus)
  

The ideal candidate for this position would be a pilot who does not yet meet our hiring requirements for a pilot position, but who would continue to build flight time while in this role.
