Essential Functions
Attendantduties and responsibilities include non-medical services related to personalcare to elderly persons or persons with disabilities to assist those personswith activities of daily living, including, without limitation:
The elimination of wastes from the body
Dressing and undressing
Bathing
Grooming
The preparation and eating of meals
Household services essential to care at home
Reporting any changes in the patient’sconditions and needs to the Administrator
Completing appropriate documentation forms.
Unable to work privately for a Mission Home Careclient. The agency will bring legal action against you and the client forviolating the service agreement.
Qualifications
Beat least 18 years of age;
Beresponsible, mature and have personal qualities which will enable him/her tounderstand the problems of elderly persons and persons with disabilities.
Understandthe requirements of regulatory agencies; by obtaining a working knowledge ofthe provisions which govern the licensing of agencies before providing personalcare services to the clients of Mission Home Care.
Demonstratethe ability to read, write, speak and communicate effectively with the clientsof Mission Home Care.
Demonstratethe ability to meet the needs of the clients of Mission Home Care.
Receiveeight (8) hours or more of training annually, related to providing for theneeds of the clients of Mission Home Care.
Participatein and complete a training program before independently providing personal careservices to the clients of Mission Home Care.
Musthave at least one (1) year experience in a non-medical home care, and pass theexam prior to being employed with Mission Home Care.
