Part-Time Revivals Box Truck Driver - Desert AIDS Project - Palm Springs, CA

Status: Part-time; Hourly; Non-exempt

Rate: $16.00 per hour

POSITION PURPOSE

Pick-up donations in a box truck and assist in warehouse operations of Revivals store.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive store box-truck for pick-up;
  


• Properly load donations securely on box truck at pick –up locations;
  


• Unload donations in a professional, careful manner at assigned stores;
  


• Prepares daily routing, appropriate documentation for donors and Dispatch department;
  


• Maintains telephone contact prior to donors pick up and Dispatch office;
  


• Use of good customer service skills with requests and complaints in an appropriate, positive manner;
  


• Other relevant duties as assigned.
  

Training, Experience

• Delivery/pick-up experience as box truck Driver is REQUIRED;
  


• Safety knowledge in loading and unloading of box trucks;
  


• Safety knowledge of truck lifts ;
  


• Good customer service skills;
  


• Clean driving record;
  


• Bilingual preferred;
  

Ability to:

• Ability to read a Thomas Guide and follow instructions;
  


• Ability to use a GPS unit
  


• Convey and outgoing personality and work positively with the public;
  


• Be able to work with co-workers as a team;
  


• Ability to motivate staff and volunteers;
  


• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  


• Handles disputes and complaints calmly.
  


• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
  

Essential job functions:

• Ability to lift 75lbs.
  


• Process a valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
