Accountant/Full Charge Bookkeeper - BuzzBox Beverages, Inc. - Palm Desert, CA

A growing beverage company located in Palm Desert, CA has an immediate need for a full-time accountant or full charge bookkeeper. This position requires someone with a background in manufacturing as the candidate will handle all daily accounting transactions. This position also oversees all regular inventory activities to ensure accurate financial valuation and integrity of inventory average costing and COGS reporting. The ability to apply GAAP in an effective manner as well as have knowledge of industry best practices in accounting and business are also highly sought.

Responsibilities

• Full cycle accounting including G/L, A/R, A/P, etc.


• Ensure integrity of the accounting books in accordance with GAAP


• Prepare monthly closing entries and account reconciliations


• Responsible for production and inventory valuation, accuracy and reporting


• Work cross-functionally with other departments to increase financial reporting accuracy


• Provide accurate, consistent, and timely financial reports to Management, including budgets and cash flow forecasts


• Develop, drive and improve internal policies & procedures to ensure compliance and the highest integrity of the Company’s financial results


• Maintain company asset listing and depreciation program ensuring appropriate documentation of capital


• Liaise with CPA for tax and other matters


• Perform other related accounting/financial duties as requested

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting


• 4+ years of full cycle operational accounting experience


• Prior experience in manufacturing, including cost accounting and implementing costing systems


• Working knowledge of all facets of QuickBooks Enterprise


• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel


• Experience with due diligence and corporate finance valuation methodologies


• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, to be able to identify, pro-actively propose system and process improvements


• Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and a track record of meeting deadlines


• Exceptional organizational, prioritization, decision-making, and planning skills


• Strong verbal and written communication and good interpersonal skills


• Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
