REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN -LEVEL 3 - Grimmway Farms Inc. - Coachella, CA

JOB LOCATION: COACHELLA AND WESTMORLAND

SHIFT: DAYS (with periodic callouts as needed)

REPORTS TO: CORPORATE REFRIGERATION MANAGER

PURPOSE:
Maintain various refrigeration systems and all related sub-systems for Cal Organic southern operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
Employee must demonstrate a working knowledge of all aspects of the Refrigeration Tech 3 skill level. Must possess both the R.E.T.A Level B and Level A Certification, Must use your knowledge in the Practical Engineering Applications of Refrigeration Theory. Must have the ability to work unsupervised on all refrigeration equipment, Must be able to train personnel on all levels of refrigeration theory and applications, Must have knowledge and experience to train personal on advanced troubleshooting, Must be able to oversee the operations, servicing and repairs of all refrigeration systems throughout the facility.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Continuous use of both hands, including grasping, pulling and pushing; use of sight, hearing; walking and balancing on even and uneven surfaces; standing, bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, climbing, reaching forward, reaching overhead and below the shoulder; capable of working in hot and cold environments (working temperatures as hot as 100° to 105° F and as cold as -20° F to 32° F); must be able to work in a high noise area. Must be able to lift 75lbs.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
One year experience as a Refrigeration Technician level 3 or equivalent, must pass electrical training requirements of previous skill levels, Must have basic knowledge in operating Microsoft software. Must have valid drivers license with a good driving record and have the ability to drive company vehicles. Must be able to demonstrate friendly and productive attitude in a highly intensive work environment and show a willingness to support all Production activities as required. Must have good attendance and safety record and cannot miss more than 8 unexcused days per calendar year. Additionally employee cannot possess more than 2 written warnings in a continuous 12-month period. Must understand and comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Must pass Quality Control GMP testing. Must understand and comply with all company safety policies including lock-out/tag-out procedures and policies, Must be trainable in all aspects of safety as it pertains to the maintenance and repair of dangerous and potentially dangerous machinery. Must be able to read and understand all applicable training and safety materials and communicate effectively to superiors and subordinates, Must demonstrate willingness to learn new skills and techniques. Must pass pre-placement drug screen, physical and FCE.
