Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Consistently offers professional, engaging and proactive service

  • Motivate, lead, coach and manage all aspects of team members’ performance toward achieving exceptional guest service and employee engagement results

  • Anticipate guests’ needs with thoughtful and personal touches

  • Resolve guest problems and never saying “no” without offering an alternative

  • Be an ambassador for the Brand, Hotel, Community and Colleagues

  • Deliver excellent and prompt guest service

  • Responsible for cleanliness of guest corridors, rooms, and other specific areas of the hotel as assigned

  • Audit work in assigned areas to remain consistent with Fairmont standards

  • Performance management of assigned colleagues

  • Proactively identify potential day-to-day operational concerns, determine appropriate solutions and follow-up to ensure high service levels are maintained

  • Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the hotel health and safety program

  • Adhere to all environmental policies and program as required

  • Other reasonable duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisory/ training experience is an asset

  • Experience with Property Manager and Microsoft office an asset

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership and organizational skills

  • High school diploma required; Diploma or degree in Hospitality/ Tourism Management an asset

  • First aid/ CPR is an asset

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):

  • As a Housekeeping Supervisor you will be required to travel around the building and assigned floors regularly

  • The job is quite active and you will need to bend, lift and move furniture on a regular basis

  • In the work environment you will be in contact with the chemicals which are used to clean our rooms and other areas of the hotel. Proper protective equipment and training will be provided
