Experienced Veterinary Receptionist - Village Park Animal Hospital - La Quinta, CA

Join our beautiful, growing animal hospital in La Quinta as an Experienced Veterinary Receptionist! Our team of doctors and staff are dedicated to providing compassionate care for animals, and every member of our team contributes to our success. We are looking for a team member with a big heart for animals, who is able to multi task, enjoys working with people, has strong computer skills, and is comfortable on the phone. Education: High School graduate, some college preferred. Training in veterinary, medical or dental office reception is encouraged. Experience: Veterinary Reception Experience REQUIRED. Knowledge of AviMark is helpful but not required. At least one year in customer service (heavy phones, front desk coverage) required. Job Duties include but are not limited to: – Phone Reception- answering client inquiries, scheduling appointments, recording messages for doctors and staff- Greeting Clients- checking patients in, discharging patients, dispensing medications & prescriptions, invoicing- Inputting data into electronic medical record system- Receiving Client Payments- posting & recording payments, receiving payment, running end of day transaction register- Check clinic email, fax, & phone messaging- prescription refill requests, appointment requests, client inquiries- Client Communication- patient follow ups, appointment reminders, update inquiries- General Office duties- mail, hospital bills, cleaning / organizing reception and lobby Compensation is dependent upon experience. Weekend (Saturday) and evening hours will be required. We are a drug-free workplace, and any offer of employment may be contingent on drug test and background screening.
