Reservations Sales Agent - Embassy Suites Hotel & Spa - La Quinta, CA






Reservation agents work in hotels and resorts to help people book their stay. They take incoming calls for people interested in staying in the property. They are friendly and efficient, helping guests find the right accommodations to fit their needs, suggesting different packages or amenities that the facility offers and asking questions to help determine what the client needs. Reservations Agents also take credit card information over the phone and may begin the billing process.
This position is part time, afternoon shifts from 3:00pm to approximately 8:30pm averaging three shifts per week.


  • Answer in-bound sales calls for the Embassy Suites Hotel and Spa.

  • Respond to inquiries ensuring all guest needs are identified and options are proactively suggested

  • Ensure reservation and guest details are correctly entered into Property Management Systems

  • Promote seasonal packages and current promotions to our guests

  • Complete other administrative duties for the Reservations Department

JOB REQUIREMENTS:


  • Sales focused with an ability to genuinely connect with customers

  • Possess a friendly, energized and outgoing personality

  • Accurate computer skills

  • Desire to learn and grown within the hotel industry.

  • Ability to work independently within a fast paced, team oriented environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to multi-task

  • Must be very detailed oriented and have a professional demeanor

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality

  • Must have the flexibility to work approximately three part time shifts a week from 3:00pm – 8:30pm, including weekends and holidays
