Summary of Responsibilities:

Managing the daily operations of our Food & Beverage Departments, preparing the annual budget including weekly and monthly forecasting; monitoring the budget and reporting variances, executing the delivery of all Food & Beverage promotions, sales events and new menus, establishing and managing annual operating requirements, including china, glass, silver, linen and uniforms, monitoring control of food, beverage, labor and operating expenses throughout the division, acting as the hotels’ lead contact regarding outlet entertainment, assisting and guiding the department to achieve financial and operational targets, monitoring all guest service standards, constantly seeking ways to improve products and services, selecting, training, developing and managing team including conducting performance evaluations.

The Food and Beverage Director also oversees the private resort beach and kids camp as part of their day to day responsibilities.

This role may be required to perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or related discipline preferred, 3 years” experience in a Food & Beverage Senior Management role in a luxury hotel, outstanding knowledge of F&B product and high end service levels, strong culinary and wine knowledge is an asset, proven ability to impact financial business results, successful record demonstrating leadership including mentoring and developing colleagues, exceptional interpersonal, teamwork, customer service, communication (verbal and written – proficient in English), problem solving skills, ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast paced, multi-cultural diverse environment, ability to analyze data and trends and create strategies for improvement, must be innovative, creative and focused on results, ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite required.

Visa Requirements: Non-Bermudian candidates will need to qualify for a Bermuda Department of Immigration work permit applied for by the Fairmont Southampton Hotel. Applicant must be legally eligible to work in Bermuda.
