POSITION REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor

POSITION STATUS: Hourly/Non-exempt

JOB HOURS: Full Time, Monday-Friday (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Provide proof of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent


• Provide proof of a valid California Driver’s License


• Be able to read and write in English


• Pass a background check

The primary responsibility is to work with the Maintenance staff on maintenance and repairs of all common areas throughout the community.

JOB CONDITIONS:
Applicant must be capable of meeting the physical, mental, and environmental demands of performing his/her job duties as set forth in this Job Description. Position requires physical labor and employee will be expected to work inside and outside, often facing inclement weather conditions, and may be required to lift, move, and/or carry objects that weigh up to fifty (50) pounds.

Maintenance staff is required to drive the Association’s vehicles and must maintain a good driving record. Vehicle damage due to negligence or willful misconduct, or an employee’s loss of driving privileges, may result in suspension or job termination, depending upon the extent of the occurrence.

SUMMARY OF JOB SCOPE:
The Maintenance Technician needs to be a “jack of all trades” and have experience in, but not limited to, the following trades:

• Basic electrical


• Basic carpentry


• Minor concrete and asphalt repairs


• Painting


• Plumbing


• Knowledge of pools/ponds preferred but not required


• Miscellaneous repairs of the equipment and amenities within the community


• Perform other duties and projects as directed by Management
