Warehouse Operator/ Driver

Position Summary:
This position receives,checks in, stores, and distributes products within the warehouse ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. Transporting material to and from our customers and vendors in a safe, courteous manner as directed by management and or warehouse personnel.

Reports to Management but needs to work with Warehouse personnel, Sales personnel, Accounting personnel, Customers, and Vendors…

Responsibilities:
-Assist in unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and/or packing slips.
-Read customer orders, work orders, shipping tickets, and branch transfers to determine items to be gathered, distributed, and/or shipped.
-Move materials and items from receiving warehouse to other designated areas within the branch store.
-Sort and place products on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
-Must be able to bend, stoop, lift and climb ladders.
-Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for employee, vendor, and/or customer traffic.
-Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves to the will call holding areas.
-Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
-Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via our Eclipse System.
-Assist in counting our physical inventory.
-Prepare parcels for mailing.
-Sweep, dust, mop, and organize warehouse and work areas for orderliness at all times.
-Wear the proper safety equipment.
-Load delivery and transfer vehicles.
-Ensure delivery vehicle is safe by reporting any deficiencies.
-Ensure all vehicles are always fueled and cleaned.

Work Environment:
This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, etc. Also standard warehouse equipment such as forklift, box cutters, and tape dispensers.

Required Education and Experience:
-High School Diploma or GED

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
-This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm
-Daily overtime (1 hour if needed)
-One to two possible weekends per year required for physical inventory.
