This position oversees the equipment repair and maintenance program for the Golf and Landscape Departments. It requires communicating and reporting repairs and maintenance of all equipment/tools/facilities directly to the Director of Grounds and/or Assistant Superintendents. Attention to detail, following all safety procedures, accurate record keeping, computer skills, and maintaining a clean work environment are priorities.

Job Summary

The position responsibilities and/or skills include (but are not limited to): working knowledge of all types of diesel, gasoline, and electric motors; hydraulic motor and pump expertise; repairs, maintenance, and record keeping of equipment, tools, and facilities; ordering and maintaining parts inventories; troubleshooting and diagnostics; developing and following a scheduled maintenance program for all equipment and facilities; electrical knowledge; welding and fabrication skills; instruct and train associates on daily preventative checks and maintenance – including proper cleaning and safe operation of all equipment and tools; makes recommendations on equipment needs and purchases.
Maintain daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities. Monitor and inspect equipment, irrigation pump stations, lake circulation pumps, fuel station, etc. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical systems, apparatus, and components. Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role model.

Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Welcome and acknowledge all guests
