Responsibilities
As a Security Professional, you will:
- Under the direction of the Director or Assistant Director of Security, provides security and safety of all patients, staff and visitors.
- Handle patient and visitor situations that may require physical restraint as needed.
- Handle all traffic related matters and assist with emergency situations involving patients and/or visitors.
- Function as a resource regarding facility information for patients and visitors.
- Patrol campus on foot and/or using a golf cart to ensure a safe environment.
- Project an image of professionalism in communication, appearance and conduct.
- Support the Security Department mission.
- Participate in the continuous quality improvement process.
- Maintain a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures. This knowledge may include the use of specialized instrumentation, Quality Control requirements, and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain an active knowledge of security emergency procedures and environment of care standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree
- Current California Guard Card or have the ability to obtain a valid Proprietary Private Security Officer licensure within six months of employment.
- Current CPR card or obtain within 60 days
