Responsibilities

As a Security Professional, you will:

• Under the direction of the Director or Assistant Director of Security, provides security and safety of all patients, staff and visitors.
  


• Handle patient and visitor situations that may require physical restraint as needed.
  


• Handle all traffic related matters and assist with emergency situations involving patients and/or visitors.
  


• Function as a resource regarding facility information for patients and visitors.
  


• Patrol campus on foot and/or using a golf cart to ensure a safe environment.
  


• Project an image of professionalism in communication, appearance and conduct.
  


• Support the Security Department mission.
  


• Participate in the continuous quality improvement process.
  


• Maintain a working knowledge of departmental standard operating procedures. This knowledge may include the use of specialized instrumentation, Quality Control requirements, and preventive maintenance.
  


• Maintain an active knowledge of security emergency procedures and environment of care standards.
  


• Perform other duties as assigned.
  

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree
  


• Current California Guard Card or have the ability to obtain a valid Proprietary Private Security Officer licensure within six months of employment.
  


• Current CPR card or obtain within 60 days
