WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR :
The Lead Barista of Joy’s ensures guests are warmly welcomed, oriented to the store experience and offered a complimentary beverage created on a fine Italian espresso machine. You will manage Café Bliss (our beverage bar) while training and working alongside a team of Baristas of Joy focused on putting guests at ease and making them feel cared for upon entering the store. In addition, the Lead Barista of Joy assists in the planning and executing inspired store events creating joyful memories for local groups which help grow PIRCH’s profile in the community.

WHAT OUR LEAD BARISTAS DO : Lead a team of Baristas of Joy Train Baristas of Joy on the why, what and how of the role including making perfect espresso drinks. Manage the day-to-day operations of Café Bliss including ordering, receiving and maintaining stock Prepare hot and cold drink offerings as well as serve savory or sweet offerings Clean and manage all work area floors, utensils, equipment, service and seating while adhering to safe food-handling procedures and sanitation practices Begin the guest experience by educating guests about PIRCH and the store experience Work with the store director and outside partners to plan, execute and manage in-store events

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Five-day work week will include weekends and evenings

Long hours of standing, moving, bending, lifting and caring in retail store

Ability to carry trays of dishes and glassware up to 25 lbs.

EXPERIENCE

Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college is required

Experience in food service, preparation and customer service preferred

Training experience preferred

State Food Handler’s Card preferred

Experience coordinating mid- to large-size events a plus
