Outside Sales Rep for Indoor Landscaping - Inside Plants, Inc. - Palm Desert, CA

We make the interior of otherwise sterile commercial buildings warm and welcoming, by providing plant service and maintenance, living walls, holiday decor, etc. We’ve been in business for over 38 years and we continue to grow!

ABOUT THE POSITION

We need an experienced outside sales representative to join our team and continue to expand our accounts in Palm Springs, Palm Desert and surrounding areas. You’ll be responsible for developing new accounts in the areas of medical facilities, malls, commercial buildings, golf courses, etc., as well as growing our existing accounts.

ABOUT YOU

-You are experienced in B2B outside sales (specific experience in selling to office and facilities managers is a huge plus)

-You are friendly and outgoing, and perfectly comfortable talking to strangers

-You enjoy networking and knowing how to cultivate relationships from casual conversations

-You are organized and great at follow-up and cold calls

-You want a job where you can be out and about (not behind a desk 8 hours/day)

-You have an interest in learning about interior landscape design and maintenance (education and experience in this are is a huge plus!)

-You are looking for a company where you can plant some roots and grow

-You are proficient in writing proposal by using Word, Excel and Quickbooks

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

-At least 2 years experience in outside B2B sales to corporate and/or hospitality markets

-CA driver’s license, clean driving record, proof of insurance and reliable transporation-High school education or equivalent

-Pass a pre-employment background check

This is a full time position and will pay between $20,000-$30,000 for the base, PLUS commission and expense. Base depends on experience and ability to learn quickly. First years ales representatives can expect to make $40,000-$50,000.
