Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Facilities Operations, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:


  • Consistently offer professional, engaging and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues to ensure an exceptional guest experience

  • Motivate, lead, coach and manage all aspects of team members” performance toward achieving exceptional guest service and employee engagement results

  • Establish and maintain quantitative standards of performance and utilize performance management principles to maximize employee productivity

  • Ensure all physical operations including refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems are clean and maintained

  • Implement, monitor and maintain a cost effective energy management programme and monitor the Hotel”s Energy Management system (EMS)

  • Provide training in Health & Safety and ensure employees adhere to the policies and procedures, emergency procedures, loss prevention protocols, WHMIS etc.

  • Negotiate and manage contracts with external contractors and vendors to ensure collaborative working relationships are maintained

  • Ensure the compliance of all local fire safety, building control and environmental codes and regulations

  • Plan and implement energy conservation projects as required

  • Monitor inventory, supplies and related systems

  • Ensure all maintenance issues are documented and resolved promptly according to equipment standard requirements

  • All other function related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Degree/diploma in Engineering or trade certification on Building Management is an asset

  • Minimum of 4 years” management experience in a complex resort facility is required

  • 4 th Class Power Engineering is required

  • Proven experience managing projects in a multi-million dollar large-scale infrastructure

  • Ability to read, understand and interpret Engineering and Building Blueprints

  • Demonstrated knowledge of all regulations such as building codes, fire and health department requirements

  • Proven leadership and team development skills

  • Demonstrated sound technical judgment and proven ability to manage complex projects

  • Superior organizational, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Must be computer literate and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and awareness of cutting edge facilities management technologies and strategies


Visa Requirements: Non-Bermudian candidates will need to qualify for a Bermuda Department of Immigration work permit applied for by Hamilton Princess & Beach Club Hotel.
