The F&B cashiers will deliver truly great service, and create a warm and friendly atmosphere for our guests. The F&B Cashier is generally the first employee that guests encounter when entering the restaurant so it is imperative that they greet all guests with a warm/genuine smile and welcome. F&B Cashier employees must work well as a team, maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies and gaming regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operates a cash register/POS system, ringing proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change; accounts for all cash, charge and complimentary sales according to established procedure; maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities.
- Keeps designated working area clean and organized, and assists in maintaining cleanliness of dining room, including host stand area, as necessary or required, in accordance with established health and safety standards.
- Resolves service issues according to service standards.
- Assists bus help, as necessary, in bus sing, cleaning and setting tables.
- Operates and maintains equipment as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures.
- Completes assigned side work as directed.
- This position is not limited to those duties listed in the job description. Duties and responsibilities can be changed, expanded, reduced or deleted to meet business needs of the company.
- Recognizes Red, Black & Blue players and ensures they receive the appropriate service.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED/equivalent.
- Previous cashiering experience in a high volume restaurant preferred.
- Read, write, speak and understand English.
- Excellent customer service/communication skills.
- Must be able to accurately and quickly process all cash, comp and charge transactions.
- Available to work required schedule which may include weekends, holidays and overtime.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. (Cash drawer, cash register/POS supplies, tables and chairs).
- M ust be able to pull or push 50 lbs. (Tables and chairs as required to provide appropriate seating arrangements for customers).
- Must be able to reach above and below the shoulder, grip small items (i.e., flatware, plates, cups, glasses), bend, stoop and twist while carrying restaurant stock to and from supply areas; able to reach across tables; able to stand and walk for up to 6 hours; able to use hand motions when cleaning and wiping counters and table tops.
- Must be able to maintain a neat, professional, well groomed appearance and uphold company appearance/dress standards.
- Valid food handlers card.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Employees working the Casino or Bowling Center may be exposed to second-hand smoke and moderate levels of noise. Must be able to tolerate industry standard chemicals used for cleaning and sanitizing. Able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, bright lights
