Under the direction of the Cath Lab Director and in conjunction with the Cath Lab Medical Director, Job Description – Cardiovascular Technician (01505-79566) Provide technical assistance for all diagnostic and interventional invasive cardiology procedures, which include supply, equipment operation,monitoring, imaging and use of medical devices. With limited supervision, uses independent judgment and necessary skills in obtaining the best diagnostic images. Maintains and monitors equipment operation and calibration. Scrub assist for all diagnostic and interventional CV procedures including preparation of supplies and instruments, preparation and maintenance of the sterile field, preparation and manipulation of cardiac catheters, guide-wires and devices. Assists the Radiologist / Cardiologist with procedures and maintains sterile technique during all invasive procedures. Other duties as assigned by Dept. Director. Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Minimum 3 years experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist. Special procedures, CT or Cath Lab experience preferred. RCIS , BLS & ACLS Required. Must work various shifts and be able to be on call. Great location! Shopping, restaurants, casinos and spas.
