POSITION TITLE: COURTESY CLERK

JOB SUMMARY:

To assist clerks and customers with bagging items purchased, collect shopping carts, and maintain general cleanliness of the store.

FUNDAMENTAL JOB TASKS:

• Bag the customers purchases
  


• Assist customers to their vehicles with their purchases
  


• Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lots and surrounding areas
  


• Maintain cleanliness of the checkstand area
  


• Maintain cleaning and bagging supplies in the checkstand area
  


• Return non-purchased items to their proper shelf location
  


• Assist customers with their questions
  


• Secure price verification for clerks
  


• Maintain routine sweeping of the sales floor
  


• Break down and collect cardboard boxes
  


• Handle clean-ups as required throughout the store
  


• Maintain routine sweeping of the sales floor
  


• Other related duties as required
  


• This position requires bending, twisting, stooping and lifting up to 50-lbs., as well as the ability to work continually on your feet.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• Must be 16 years of age.
  


• Ability to read aisle makers, shelf tags and prices, and labels.
  


• Must possess efficient hand-eye coordination and be able to perform basic math calculations.
  


• Must maintain a sense of integrity. A valid work permit if under the age of 18

REQUIRED LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATION:

• A valid work permit if under the age of 18
